If you are tired of eating macaroni all the time with the same toppings, in addition you can follow an interesting recipe for preparing delicious macaroni with bacon and chicken, from which yellow cheese is made.

The preparation of this recipe will not take you too much time, ie you will need about 15 minutes, if your pasta has been cooked before.

Ingredients needed:

1 onion finely chopped
1 tablespoon cooking oil
10 pieces of bacon finely chopped
3 pieces of chicken breast cut into cubes
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
250 ml tomato sauce
250 ml barbecue sauce
500g macaroni, boiled
125ml of boiled pasta water
120g grated yellow cheese

Method of preparation:


  1. Boil the macaroni, strain it and leave it to cool. It is necessary to store 125 ml of water in which the macaroni was boiled in a separate container.

  2. Put the oil in a non-stick pan and heat over medium heat, then put the onion to fry until soft.

  3. Add the bacon and fry until the onion starts to turn brown and the bacon becomes crispy.

  4. Remove the fried bacon and onion from the pan, and put the chicken in the same oil to fry at a medium temperature, until it turns golden brown.

  5. Return the bacon and onion to the pan, add the chopped garlic and fry until it starts to emit a nice aroma (not to burn).

  6. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper and barbecue sauce. Mix all the ingredients until well blended and leave to boil.

  7. The mixture should boil for 5 to 8 minutes, until it becomes thick.

  8. Add the cooked macaroni and mix to distribute the sauce well.

  9. If necessary, it can be added from the water in which the macaroni was boiled if the sauce is too thick.

  10. Add grated yellow cheese to the prepared macaroni and cover with a lid to melt.
